This is the day…

“This is the day that the LORD has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24

How often does our daily lives look like the opposite?  When we cling to the things of this world, we tend to see a pattern of failure, of broken hopes and dreams.  A place of deep and dark emptiness devoid of anything that can save us.  Scripture tells us, “and this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave.  But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.” (1 John 2:17)

I too have fallen victim to my lustful thoughts of things that I have to acquire to fit in with the people around me who already have.  The Tenth Commandment is pretty clear about coveting what my neighbor has, so I need to constantly come to a place of repentance with Christ and ask for His unending forgiveness.  Once I do, it’s like a huge weight has been lifted from my chest!!!

Thank you Jesus for all that you do in me and for me!  My prayer is that others will come to know and love the Savior that is Christ the LORD!
